Happy New Year and 2014 Updates from SLHOA

Spring Lakes Updates

The Spring Lakes HOA wishes you a very happy, safe and prosperous 2014. Our community continues to get better and we have exciting plans for 2014 and beyond. As always, we’d greatly appreciate your participation and suggestions at our regular bimonthly Board meetings. For 2014 these dates are January 16, March 13, May 15, July 17, September 18 and our Annual Meeting will be in November.

You should have received your 2014 coupon book. You will note that fees in Spring Lakes have gone up for the first time in approximately 6 years. The new fees are $93 for Single Family Homes and $98 for Townhomes. This general increase is nominal and is mainly to keep up with inflation and the bump in the Towns is mainly to keep up with the statutorily-required reserves we need to keep to maintain the community. Don’t forget that all roads in the Townhome section are deemed “private” and are the HOA’s responsibility to maintain and improve as needed.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email us at slboard@slhoa.org.

At our Annual Meeting in November, the SLHOA is proud to welcome Mike Vierheller and Michelle Badhwar to the Board. Over the Holidays we were unfortunately informed that former HOA President and long-time volunteer Bob Hodge needed to step down from the Board. We will miss Bob’s expertise and opinions greatly.

The Board is looking to fill this open seat and will likely do so at the January meeting. If you are interested, please send a brief email and bio/resume to president@slhoa.org.

With safety for all in mind, but especially young children at the school bus stops, the SLHOA is enacting wider NO PARKING zones on Forest Spring Drive in between Sierra Spring Drive and Montview Square. You’ll see the signs by the end of January.

Please respect the NO PARKING areas and help improve the safety of our great community.

The Spring Lakes HOA Board of Directors will be meeting on Thursday, January 16 @ 7:00 pm. Our meetings are held at the Lakes at Red Rock Club House.

There are several openings for Committee Chairs, including Covenants, Finance and Communications. In order to be a strong, vibrant community we need new people, new ideas and new leadership.
